Edna Wanna
With several years of experience working in multi-sectoral institutions and various community-based projects in mining regions and other locations in the country, Edna brings a strong foundation in financial analysis, resource evaluation, and market research within the mining sector. Her background in teaching, economic empowerment, projects management, administration, accounting and finance management, and her experience as an entrepreneur in the mining sector provides her with a keen understanding of mineral economics, asset valuation, and risk assessment across various mining projects fit for her current role.
In her current role, she supports the identification of productive artisanal and small-scale mining by undertaking due diligence and conducting thorough financial modelling to assess their feasibility for investment through The Impact Facility’s equipment lease-to-purchase mechanism.
I excel in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, from geologists, mining engineers, mining processing engineers to financial planners, to ensure that all aspects of mining investments are strategically aligned with the company’s goals. With a strong attention to detail and a commitment to sustainable development, I am driven by the potential to support impactful and responsible mining ventures globally.
